Logistics Terminal “Termez Cargo Centre”
Logistics Terminal “Termez Cargo Centre” was launched in 2016. The terminal is located 4 km from the Galabastation and less than 2 km from UZB-AFG border (the border of Uzbekistan and Afganistan). The uniqueness of the terminal lies in it’s size and capacity, moreover it is the only terminal located near the border of Afganistan. The purpose of this terminal was to provide a complex of transport and logistics services for customs clearance, cargo handing, storage of import-export and transit cargoes (including customs and terminal warehousing), as well as to process transit cargoes of intermodal transportation(rail and road) to and from Afganistan. The total area of the terminal is 40.4 ha.
On the territory of the terminal there are 4 covered warehouses with an area of 6 thousand square meters each, one of which is equipped with ten refrigerators, an area of 100 square meters each. Open container area allocated for storage of more than 3 thousand units of 20 foot containers or more than 2 thousand units of 40 foot containers. There is an open area for Parking 300 heavy vehicles, including refrigerators with places equipped for them with points for power supply. A full range of customs services is provided directly at the terminal. In addition, “Termez Cargo Center” has a fuel and filling complex, a modern disinfection and washing station for washing and sanitation of empty railway cars. The terminal is equipped with security and fire system and photo-video surveillance.
On the territory of the terminal there are also administrative buildings in which the terminal staff, management staff, customs authorities, phytosanitary services, a brokerage center and a certification center, as well as a division of the Bank carry out their activities. There are office space for rent.
To provide social services on the territory of the terminal built two-storey comfortable hotel complex, two-storey guest VIP-cottages, a restaurant, as well as recreational and household building with an outdoor swimming pool.
